In the 2014 Fifa World Cup hosted by Brazil, we had to inspire punters to put their money behind Australia but it wasn’t looking good.
The Socceroos were drawn to kick off in the ‘group of death’ against Spain, Netherlands and Chile. All punters would attest they were sure to be knocked out.
So we came up with supporters’ gear that they’d received when they backed Gold, the colour that kept them on the winning side with a second team to barrack for – the hosts Brazil – all the way ’til the very end of the competition. Reversible Supporter’s gear with two teams who shared Gold & Green. Our campaign ran across TV, print, POS and Online and reaffirmed TAB once again as Australia’s largest betting company.
