Partnering with global brands like Jurassic Park's T-Rex, LEGO, He-Man, and Barbie, our campaign unleashed a legendary cast of toys racing into BIG W's biggest Toy Sale Event. These iconic characters captivated audiences across social media and the big screen with their fun-filled adventures.
With a nod to classic movie scenes, nostalgia, and a touch of humour, our social first films were a big hit, thanks to our talented team of animators and puppeteers, including award-winning director Jono 'Dropbear' Chong, who breathed new life into these beloved toys.
We amped things up even more with a punk rock twist on our familiar brand track, 'Happy Together,' making the campaign a runaway success, breaking sales records and gaining unprecedented awareness.
The results speak for themselves: $121 million in sales (+3% YoY), surpassing the forecast plan by 2%. Paid social revenue surged by 89%, and online lay-by reached a new high of $7.1 million on pre-launch day, contributing to 32.2% online penetration for the entire event.
